I played Hallertau and enjoyed three aspects of the game that I want to share with you here. Stay tuned to find out what I liked! Watch it here: youtu.be/v2CLubgdMCA Hallertau is an agriculture themed, strategy game for expert gamers designed by Uwe Rosenberg. But don't be discouraged! Once you learn the game, it's super easy to play again and the replayability of the game is high. Jump into a game today (but after you watch this video!).

Is Uwe beginning to just repeat his designs? I watched my friend play this last night and it looked so much like Uwe's other games.

It does use a lot of Uwe Rosenberg's favorite designs. There are a lot of cards (like in Agricola), a ton of resource management used to progress to the next level (like in Reykholt) and a big board of actions (like in Feast for Odin). But even though all of these mechanisms feel like what we've seen before, the gameplay feels like something unique and original. I really enjoy it.
