Splendor and Love Letter are simply perfect, but how do they stack up to their newer, slightly altered versions of Marvel?!
Both Splendor and Love Letter are perfect entry-level games for 2-4 players (2-6 for Marvel Love Letter). But there are some differences and those differences might make all the difference in my selection. Did that make any sense?! Check out my take here where I give an overview of both Splendor and Love Letter and compare each to their Marvel counterpart, clearly selecting one version over the other. Join me in this overview and review of Wormholes, a light strategy game that might have broken my brain.
But first you'll learn how this game works! There's a lot to like about this new game from AEG: pick up and deliver, space exploration, hand management, route building, and modular boards. And you'll even get some insight on my gaming group dynamic and how they pulled me through our game of Wormholes! Watch it here: youtu.be/H023RQgCXMY The Kims are at it again! Who's going to win when they argue between Winter Kingdom or Kingdom Builder.
Both games are by the same designer, but who will reign supreme? Will it be the cool Winter Kingdom or the seasoned Kingdom Builder? Upstairs, Downstairs & Wessex Expansions with Solitaire Review8/19/2022 I'm obsessed about all the expansion content for Obsession, one of my favorite board games I played last year.

He made a print and play version of a very cool game: The Little Flower Shop Duel, made just for two players. And I've made a run through video teaching you how to play and what it looks like to score a game of The Little Flower Shop Duel.
This game encourages players to collect flowers, complete vases, and nab the neatest knickknacks on the shelves of the little flower shop before their opponent gets them first. Players alternate turns, selecting an item from one shelf until all the items are gone. After 8 rounds, the game is over and players tally their score. It's a fast, fun and replayable print and play game that will have you hemming and hawing over what decision to make. This game will be Kickstarter funded in August 2022! Watch it here: youtu.be/f1UNhh2-Xqc I attended GenCon 2022 after a three-year hiatus. I had a great time, attended some fun events, played nonstop in the Board Game Geek room from 6 to midnight each night, nabbed some cool games to bring home with me, and (of course) had some hits & misses of the con.
Check out what I was up to at GenCon this year! Watch it here: youtu.be/BCHsPLyn4Nw It's here!!! The third installment of my ongoing Top 5 Filler Games Series. Players group their rolled dice and then openly place them on the main board to gather resources, monuments, painting swatches, and advisors that help them in their quest for glory. With a player count ranging from 1-5 and all the expansions I got in the Kickstarter Deluxe Edition, I think I'll be playing this game for a while to come:) Watch it here: youtu.be/nk6NflVHSU0 |
