In Dice Realms, players roll dice that they can upgrade throughout the game, popping out and replacing the faces of their dice with gold, shields, rerolls, upgrades, grain, victory points, and more!
They also choose or randomize 5 additional tiles that add new and interesting options for players and these 5 change every game (from a bag of 35).
Games are fast, fun, and super addictive! Join me in this overview and review of Dice Realms.

I've backed three Kickstarter campaigns from Dog Might Games so far and I love all three products!
Even though I'm NOT receiving any bonus or kickback or product for promoting them, I thought I'd share my gaming love for this company because they deserve it.
Check out my component collector, bone collector, and legacy trays, all designed by Dog Might in this video.
Right now, Dog Might website is running a 15% off for Dads and Grads, so take advantage of their sale!

I missed talking about Dice Miner in 2021 when I first played it. So when I was thinking of what game resembled the features of the American Ninja Warrior course, I was happy to share what I like about Dice Miner and how it reminds me of the cool obstacle course show I love!
Dice Miner has dice rolling, but more importantly, it features open dice drafting. Plus there are asymmetrical player abilities which gives each player a distinct edge in the game.
Dice Miner is my 2022 ANW game...watch to find out why! And be sure to catch Season 14, which is airing right now. Watch it here: youtu.be/RZzLMz8UN4c

Check out this dice-rolling, pick up and deliver train game with me! It plays under an hour for 2-5 gamers and you'll love the cooperative heart to it.
There's just enough luck and strategy balance in Switch & Signal for me. What do you think?!
First off: how'd I miss this game?! I had ALL the other Pandemic games and played through the entire legacy series.
But I got my hands on this real-time, dice-rolling cooperative game and had a blast playing it.
I'll show you how the game works and why you should give this opportunity to save the world a chance!

Boonlake is an expert strategy game that strikes a meaty 3.78/5.00 difficulty at Board Game Geek website.
I walk you through a turn or two and highlight the scoring opportunities, the cool mechanisms, and the thematic and cleverly labeled components and cards in this tile-laying, boat travel game.
Explore the landscapes, build houses and settlements, raise cattle, produce raw materials, and develop an infrastructure in Boonlake. But players will do better when they upgrade and develop these actions through automatization.
I begin with an overview of Boonlake, take a turn of the game, explain how it ends and what is scored, and finish with my final take on the game. It's a juicy game, but one that I think deserves your time and attention.
