A Light, Tile-Laying Strategy Game About The Pacific Northwest8/24/2021  I backed Cascadia on Kickstarter and was thrilled to crack into this easy-to-learn tabletop game.
I'll highlight my three favorite things about Cascadia and end with a couple of my personal caveats. Take them with a grain of salt:) There's a lot to like about Cascadia, so dive into this video to find out what I like! I've played it with 2 players, 3 players, and 4 players. It's a light strategy game that's packed with turn maximization. Press your luck but make sure to hedge your bets every now and then and perhaps you might win this game. Everyone will upgrade their camps and acquire monsters with special abilitites in order to collect the most victory points. I'll show you how to make the best of your turn. Be sure to invest in cages, too, because they offer a mysterious bonus to players and lets them do one of the most powerful moves in the game (which will be detailed in the video, if you're curious). As well, students love to use their colored pens or pencils to create their own unique shapes and designs with this game. I use Wavelength to teach my students about deduction, social dymanics, teamwork, listening skills, problem solving and creativity. I also love playing it with my friends for a super fun game night. Either way, this game is a hit. All you need is this tutorial to walk you through how to play Wavelength, and you'll see for yourself just how easy it is to learn. I like 3 Things about Biblios: Quill and Parchment and think you might, too. I bought 5 games from Miniature Market during their Memorial Day Sale a while back and played them all.
