I bought 7 games at Target because I couldn't believe the prices, the shipping deal I got, and the quality of games I found. Check out this video if you're interested in what I snagged and why I bought it.
It's a lot like the Miniature Market video I made earlier this year, and I hope to make a follow up review of the games after I play them all. Needless to say, I'm super excited about these games and can't wait to share them with you! Watch it here: youtu.be/otX3KyCzKAo 3 Things I Like About CASCADIA! A Light, Tile-Laying Strategy Game About The Pacific Northwest8/24/2021 I backed Cascadia on Kickstarter and was thrilled to crack into this easy-to-learn tabletop game.
I'll highlight my three favorite things about Cascadia and end with a couple of my personal caveats. Take them with a grain of salt:) There's a lot to like about Cascadia, so dive into this video to find out what I like! I've played it with 2 players, 3 players, and 4 players. My favorite player number for length and competition is with 3 players! Watch it here: youtu.be/tvqr6qsAzZM Grab those dice throwing hands and get ready for Monster Expedition.
It's a light strategy game that's packed with turn maximization. Press your luck but make sure to hedge your bets every now and then and perhaps you might win this game. Everyone will upgrade their camps and acquire monsters with special abilitites in order to collect the most victory points. I'll show you how to make the best of your turn. Be sure to invest in cages, too, because they offer a mysterious bonus to players and lets them do one of the most powerful moves in the game (which will be detailed in the video, if you're curious). Watch it here: youtu.be/p6DVehx36PU I received my copy of The Night Cage and I can't wait to share the components, game play, and tips.
The Night Cage is a collaborative exploration game. Players will crawl through a dark, mysterious maze searching for keys to escape. Work together to overcome the dangerous wax eaters who will snuff out your candle if you make quick movements in their line-of-sight. How long will your light last in...The Night Cage?! Watch here: youtu.be/_O6xjUWtlkU Learn how to play Second Chance, a flip and write game, in just 5 minutes!
It's fast, fun and has a ton of strategy. Each game lasts only 20 minutes, so it's easy to play again right away when you end up with a holey grid. I use this game in my classroom to teach problem solving, critical thinking, and probability skills. As well, students love to use their colored pens or pencils to create their own unique shapes and designs with this game. Either way, this game is a hit. All you need is this tutorial to walk you through how to play Wavelength, and you'll see for yourself just how easy it is to learn. I like 3 Things about Biblios: Quill and Parchment and think you might, too. Join me for this run down on this cool roll & write game that stimulates all the cool mechanisms and gameplay in a super short amount of time. Don't worry about all the "piety" and "abbot" and "chapel" talk, because I'll address that, too. I bought 5 games from Miniature Market during their Memorial Day Sale a while back and played them all.
And in this video I'll tell you what I thought of them and which ones you should jump into right now! Get ready for my take, tips, and ranking for all five games. Hopefully, I'll surprise you and help you figure out what game(s) would work well with your gaming group. Watch it here: youtu.be/gP9ZynIsvHY |
